Planning Your Trip to Vancouver

There is no shortage of exciting things to do when visiting the city of Vancouver. In fact, this can make planning your trip to Vancouver quite a challenge. One could spend an entire year exploring Vancouver and still not get anywhere close to covering all that the incredible city has to offer. Planning your trip largely depends on how much time you will have and how you prefer to allocate your budget. As a Vancouver company, Scenic Rush has a wealth of experience exploring the best that the city has to offer. To help make your next Vancouver trip a memorable one, Scenic Rush has assembled the following tips on planning your trip to Vancouver.
What to see when in Vancouver
Where do we begin? If you are visiting Vancouver for the first time, we recommend visiting beautiful Stanley Park. In 2014, TripAdvisor ranked Stanley Park as the top-rated park in the world. Stanley Park is home to many incredible destinations including the Vancouver Aquarium. Both of these destinations are bucket list worthy and should be penciled in on everyone’s activity planner. Another must-see attraction is North Vancouver’s Capilano Suspension Bridge. As long as you are comfortable with heights, the 137 metre suspension bridge stretching over the Capilano River canyon is incredible. If you are interested in seeing the best that Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler has to offer, consider touring the North Shore with an exotic driving experience from Scenic Rush. Nothing rivals West Coast sightseeing from the seat of an exotic sports car.
What to wear when visiting Vancouver
Trying to predict Vancouver’s ever-changing weather is a challenge to say the least, even for those of us who have lived our entire lives in the city. Knowing that, it is always best to come prepared. For the Spring and Summer seasons, it is a good idea to pack a light jacket and hat, just in case the rain decides to come out and play (disclaimer: it will). For the Fall and Winter seasons, a jacket, pants and one to two under layers will come in handy on chilly days, especially if you are out in the North Shore.
Where to eat in Vancouver
From fine dining to food trucks and everything in between, Vancouver has a diverse and delicious food scene. For an unrivaled fine dining experience, Blue Water Cafe, Hawksworth and Le Crocodile are all excellent choices. There are also plenty of unique Vancouver restaurants, often only known to locals, that offer great value including Meat and Bread and Cafe Crepe. For a delicious meal on wheels, Scenic Rush recommends the following three food truck vendors: Japadog, Tacofino and Yolk Food Truck. If time permits, we recommend trying all of them.
How to get around when in Vancouver
There are plenty of options for getting around in Vancouver including bus, seabus, skytrain and taxicab; however, there is no better way to explore Vancouver’s North Shore, Sea to Sky Highway and Whistler than an exotic driving experience with Scenic Rush. Touring beautiful British Columbia behind the wheel of four exotic sports cars is a once in a lifetime, bucket-list worthy experience. Public transportation in Vancouver is great, but it has nothing on a Lamborghini Gallardo or Ferrari F430 Spider.
