Experiencing the Sea to Sky Highway

On a sunny day in beautiful British Columbia, is there anything better than the views from the Sea to Sky Highway? The Sea to Sky Corridor extends from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver and takes the winding roads along BC’s west coast, all the way up to the quaint village of Whistler. With the Scenic Rush Sea to Sky Experience, you can take in the highway and the coast in an exhilarating experience behind the wheel of an exotic car.

Carving out the Sea to Sky Highway

Ferrari Spider Vancouver Sea to Sky HighwayAs you drive north, the curves of the highway are taken with a hint of caution and your foot hovering between the brake and the gas pedal. As you look to the left, the changing coastal views are endless and to your right the mountains rise in splendour. While you are focused on the road, you still have plenty of chances to look out the window of your Lamborghini and take it all in. Throughout the highway there are multiple view points where you have an opportunity to take it all in, and also switch to the next exotic car!

Porteau Cove and Whytecliffe Park, both nearer to Vancouver, are perfect spots to have a picnic and look out over the water. If you are there early enough in the morning, you’ll see the local diving groups readying their gear for an early dive of the sunken wrecks and abundant marine life.

The route along the Sea to Sky Highway is dotted with vibrant communities, gorgeous vistas, and some hidden gems that only the locals know about. As you head along the highway you’ll look to your right and see Shannon Falls crashing from a height of 335 meters – the third highest waterfall in British Columbia. After parking your super car, it is only a short hike to reach the base of the falls and experience this coastal splendour.

If you have an opportunity and are up for a slightly more strenuous hike, you can either drive a little farther or connect from Shannon Falls to climb the Stawanamus Chief which opens up amazing views of the Howe Sound and several mountains in Garibaldi Provincial Park. ‘The Chief’ as it is locally known, is an 11km roundtrip hike, but worth every drop of sweat and every aching muscle for what you see at the top.

The Whistler Experience

Whistler village itself is the perfect end to the route on our Whistler Experience. Nestled in the mountains, it is a great spot for any time of year. It’s the perfect base camp for alpine hikes in the summer or downhill skiing in the winter. Between the Peak to Peak Gondola in Whistler and the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish – the panoramas are some of the best on offer.
